My tribe comes from a long line of kitchen herbalists, cooks, teachers, and spiritual healers. My father was an ordained priest and my mother a caregiver and devout follower. My mom taught me how to heal with food, herbs, and prayers. It was through her, where I learned to prepare kitchen remedies that alleviated common ailments. I grew up surrounded with a strong sense of holistic medicine and science where prayer was at the heart of everything.

As a teen, my friends started having babies and I supported them through pregnancy, infant-feeding, and the postpartum period. I supported them while they navigated parenthood, school, work, and self-care. I learned young the meaning of motherhood for black and brown women. While also learning about infant and mother care through traditional postpartum remedies.

When I became pregnant, I relied heavily on those experiences that I learned in my earlier years.  Gratefully, I had a mindfulness practice, so I learned to follow my breath. I danced and I prayed. I continued my rituals of nutrition and self-care and I listened deeply to my body and always gave it what it needed. What I didn't know, I researched.

In labor, my mother supported me with nourishing foods and tea that she gave me secretly (the hospitals didn't "allow" laboring women to eat foods). My labor progressed and I had an empowered, orgasmic, birth experience.

In 2015, I attended Sumi's Touch Doula Training and started attending births through W.I.C, BirthWays, and the Homeless Prenatal Program. I also trained with Cornerstone and Sumi's Touch again, as well as attended workshops in Childbirth Education, Spinning Babies, and Trauma Informed Care. (I also hold an undergraduate degree in Creative Writing.) I started my private practice in 2017.

In 2021, I graduated from Maternidad la Luz PEP program. I am currently studying for my licensing exam.

It is through communal-ancestral knowing, intuition, and experience that I serve all of my clients. I guide people into deepening their trust and their love for their bodies through the birth process, so that they can heal optimally. I believe that the body knows how to give birth, how to heal, and what to do.

It is with deep love and reverence to the cycles of creation and the pure knowing that while nurturing the birthing person, we also nurture a healthy and happy mama-baba-baby connection. A knowing that your body already holds. That is what science and our ancestors show us. That is what I will activate and help to show you.

I offer birth and postpartum care packages for expecting & new families.

I also encapsulate placentas for optimal healing and wellness.
